Initially unrecoverable or unidentifiable, PFC Bishop's remains were later recovered and identified. His remains are interred at a private cemetery in Georgia. PFC Bishop's name is permanently inscribed on the Tablets of the Missing at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial, Colleville-sur-Mer/St. Laurent-sur-Mer, France.
