Pedro N. Cartagena was the eleven day old son of a U.S. Army enlisted man from Puerto Rico and his wife living in the Canal Zone. He died on January 23, 1951 at the Coco Solo Naval Hospital. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
