Notes
Corporal Hooper was a member of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy in South Korea on February 4, 1951 and died while a prisoner on June 30, 1951. His remains were recovered on May 29, 1992 and identified on September 28, 2010. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
