Private First Class Jerome was a member of Company H, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on July 30, 1950. He was presumed dead on February 18, 1954. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
