Sergeant Morris was a medic with the Medical Detachment, 674th Airborne Field Artillery Battalion, 187th Airborne Regimental Combat Team. He was killed when the plane transporting him to Korea crashed in the ocean off Tsukishima Island, near Hiroshima, Japan on June 22, 1953. His remains were not recovered. |
