Private First Class Marsh was a member of Company L, 3rd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously Wounded in Action while fighting the enemy near Chipyong-ni, South Korea on February 14, 1951 and evacuated to the Naval hospital ship, USS RESPONSE, where he died of those wounds on February 23, 1951. |
