Private First Class Swartzentruver was a member of Company C, 1st Battalion, 17th Infantry Regiment, 7th Infantry Division. He participated in the landings at Inchon, South Korea and moved to Suwon, to prepare for assault landing at Iwon, North Korea but died of other causes on October 5, 1950.Private First Class Swartzentruver was awarded the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal. |
