Private First Class Bucher was a member of Company C, 62nd Engineer Construction Battalion, U.S. Army. On December 16, 1953, he was on a work detail near Yangsu-ri, South Korea, when a mortar shell accidentally exploded. He died enroute to the 121st Evacuation Hospital. |
