Sergeant Holleran was a member of Headquarters Company, 1st Battalion, 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. On January 8, 1954, he was found dead in his bunk at Koje-do, South Korea, from pulmonary edema and asphyxiation from excess alcohol consumption at a party the night before. |
