Ensign Jensen was the pilot of a F4U-4 Corsair fighter with Fighter Squadron 653 aboard the carrier USS VALLEY FORGE (CV-45). On February 11, 1952, while on a combat air patrol, his aircraft was struck by anti-aircraft fire, crashed and exploded one and a half miles southeast of Munchon, North Korea. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. |
