A new exhibit at Arlington National Cemetery (ANC) marking the 100th anniversary of American involvement in World War I officially opened to the public today.

During Women’s History Month, we honor both the service and sacrifice of all women who have served in in the military. Last week, Luxembourg American Cemetery welcomed SSgt. Diane Sanchez for her re-enlistment ceremony at the grave of Gen. George Patton.

The operating hours at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery will be different on March 15 and 16, 2017. The cemetery will be open from 8:00 a.m.—4:00 p.m. Regular operating hours (9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) will resume on Friday, March 17, 2017.

Cambridge American Cemetery earned a VisitEngland distinction, a special designation awarded by England’s official tourism agency, in the fall of 2016. In February 2017 the cemetery received a VisitEngland Best Told Story Accolade for 2016.

Since American forces liberated the southern Netherlands in the fall of 1944, the Dutch have been committed to honoring their sacrifice. They have adopted every gravesite at Netherlands American Cemetery. They sponsor an annual concert to mark the anniversary of the liberation.
