Notes
Corporal Gresens was a veteran of World War II. During the Korean War, he was a member of the 796th Military Police Company assigned in Vienna, Austria. On May 4, 1951, he on patrol in the international district and challenged two Soviet soldiers who were acting suspiciously. The Russians opened fire and killed him.
