Private First Class Hession was a member of Company B, 1st Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. On December 1, 1950, he was seriously wounded in North Korea and evacuated to the United States. He developed Hepatitis and died at the Valley Forge Army Hospital, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on March 5, 1951.
