Notes
Corporal Drew was a member of Company I, 3rd Battalion, 31st Infantry, 7th Infantry Division. In October, 1950, he was taken prisoner of war by the enemy. Six teeth were kicked out by the enemy before he managed to escape. Later, he was listed as Missing in Action when his unit was surrounded at the Chosin Reservoir, North Korea on December 3, 1950 and presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
