Captain Fenton was a veteran of World War II. During the Korean War, he served with the Air Force in the Continental United States (CONUS). On November 28, 1952, he was the pilot of a C-54 Skymaster transport, when it crashed near McChord Air Force Base, Tacoma, Washington, killing him.
