Private Jackson was a Light Weapons Infantryman with Company G, 2nd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on July 21, 1950 and returned to duty on August 19, 1950. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in South Korea on September 1, 1950.
