Corporal Locklin was a member of Company F, 2nd Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He suffered epidemic hemorrhagic fever and was evacuated to the Osaka Army Hospital, Honahu, Japan where he died on December 15, 1951.
