Petty Officer Ogilvie was listed as Missing in Action. His remains were recovered after the war and later identified by the Department of Defense. He is buried in Mound City National Cemetery, Illinois. Petty Officer Ogilvie's name is permanently engraved on the walls of the missing at Manila American Cemetery.
