Private First Class Rollins was a member of Company C, 116th Engineer Combat Battalion, U.S. Army. While working on a construction site, he was struck by a falling rock after a demolition blast. He was evacuated to the 46th Mobile Army Surgical Hospital where he died on July 30, 1953.
