Sergeant First Class Stone was a veteran of World War II, fighting in Italy. In Korea, he was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy near Chongju, South Korea on September 25, 1950.
