SUMMARY:2024 Memorial Day Ceremony at Netherlands American Cemetery
DESCRIPTION:Netherlands American Cemetery will host its annual Memorial Day ceremony on Sunday\, May 26\, 2024\, at 3 p.m. Attendance is free and open to the public. \nIf you are a family member of someone who is honored at the cemetery and you are planning to attend the ceremony\, please email the cemetery at least two weeks prior to the event. \nMEMORIAL DAY UPDATE – NETHERLANDS AMERICAN CEMETERY \nDue to the recent weather conditions and for the safety of visitors\, parking on cemetery grounds will not be permitted. \nVehicle entry to the cemetery and parking on site will not be permitted after 12:00 PM \nIf you are attending the Memorial Day ceremony at Netherlands American Cemetery this Sunday\, May 26th\, please use one of the options below: \n\nBikes and motorcycles are allowed in the cemetery.\nUse public transportation\, bus no. 350 stops at the entrance.\nBook a taxi.\nUse the drop off zone at the cemetery front gate: please follow traffic rules\, a U-turn is not allowed.\nWalk to the cemetery.\n\nCars can be parked in the town of Margraten or Cadier en Keer\, it will be a 20–30-minute walk to the cemetery. \nIf you have a reception ticket\, please use this ticket to access the shuttle buses at Margraten City Hall to travel to and from the cemetery. They will depart at 13:30. \nAll cars with a special parking pass\, or cars with a disability pass are allowed to enter the cemetery and park in the designated area. \nKeep in mind that the grass is not suitable for parking on Saturday either\, we will have limited parking space available on the asphalt\, please avoid visiting by car. \nThank you for your understanding and cooperation and we look forward to seeing you on Sunday! \nFor any questions regarding the ceremony\, please feel free to contact our cemetery staff.
