SUMMARY:Battle of the Bulge 70th Anniversary Ceremony
DESCRIPTION:Luxembourg American Cemetery hosted a ceremony to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of the Bulge on Tuesday\, December 16\, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. \nFourteen World War II veterans were the guests of honor for this ceremony. \nCeremony participants included: \n\nLuxembourg Grand Duke: Grand Duke Henri\nLuxembourg Prime Minister: Xavier Bettel\nCommander U.S Army Europe: Lt. Gen. Ben Hodges\nCommander U.S Air Force Europe And Africa: Gen. Frank Gorenc\nRepresentatives of the World War II Museum New Orleans\nLuxembourg Boy Scouts\nTechnical School of Bonnevoie – Luxembourg\n\nSupport from U.S. Army Europe included a Color Guard\, an Honor Platoon\, and a Firing Detail. The Marine Security Detachment from the U.S. Embassy in Luxembourg also provided support. Support from the Luxembourg Army included a Color Guard\, Honor Platoon\, and Army Band. \nAttendance is free and open to the public.
