Netherlands American Cemetery hosted its annual Dodenherdenking Ceremony on May 4, 2015 at 8:00 p.m.
Similar to Memorial Day in the United States, two minutes of silence is observed nationwide in the Netherlands on this day.
The ceremony included:
– Playing of Taps
– Two minutes of silence
– National anthems of the United States and the Netherlands
– Lowering of the flags of the United States and the Netherlands
– Folding of both flags by the local children
