DESCRIPTION:On September 13\, 2025\, Manila American Cemetery will host a panel discussion on the end of the Second World War and its legacy eight decades later from the American\, Filipino and Japanese perspectives. The event is by invitation only\, and will be streamed live from the Manila American Cemetery Visitor Center Theater here: bit.ly/80endWW2\n\nOpening remarks will be provided by Chargé d’Affaires for the U.S. Embassy in the Philippines Y. Robert Ewing and Deputy Chief of Mission for the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines Matsuda Kenichi.\n\nPanel discussion will be lead by Matsuda Kenichi\, Dr. Ricardo T. Jose of the Department of History at the University of the Philippines Diliman\, and Dr. Karl Ian Cheng Chua of the Asian Center at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
