This event has passed.

Oise-Aisne American Cemetery hosted a Veterans Day ceremony on November 11, 2014 at 10:15 a.m.  Attendees included the Mayor of Seringes-et-Nesles, the Vice President of Chateau-Thierry Souvenir Français, representatives of the French Army, two French flag bearers, 14 re-enactors dressed as French soldiers and nurses from WWI, and about 70 attendees.

The participants marched to the flag pole in the center of the cemetery for the reading of the Presidential Proclamation. Three sprays of flowers were laid at the base of the flag pole followed by a moment of silence, and the playing of “Taps,” and then the French national anthem, and the U.S. national anthem.

Wreaths lie at the base of the flag pole at Oise-Aisne American Cemetery for the 2012 Veterans Day Ceremony.
