Private First Class Peterson was a member of the 187th Airborne Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was seriously wounded by the enemy in South Korea on February 12, 1951 and returned to duty on March 31, 1951. He was wounded again in North Korea on May 26, 1951 and died of those wounds the following day. |
