Corporal Red Cloud was a member of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 19th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. During a Chinese attack on his company on November 5, 1950, he left his protective position and delivered devastating fire on the enemy, thereby giving his unit time to consolidate its position. Although severely wounded he continued to fire until he was killed. |
