Private Markitello was a member of Company A, 1st Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He contracted epidemic hemorrhagic fever and was taken to the 21st Evacuation Hospital in Pusan, South Korea where he died on December 16, 1951. |
