Private Wajda was a member of Company A, 378th Engineer Combat Battalion, U.S. Army. He was accidentally shot as he slept by a fellow soldier demonstrating his automatic weapon. He was evacuated to the 44th Surgical Hospital where he died on April 25, 1953. |
