Private First Class Kniskern was a member of the 82nd Anti-Aircraft Artillery (Automatic Weapons) Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously Wounded in Action by the enemy in North Korea on April 25, 1951 and returned to duty on May 11, 1951. On June 14, 1953, he was home on leave, planning to return to Korea, when he was involved in an automobile accident on Jefferson-Summit Road and was killed. |
