Captain Scrivener served 14 months in Korea as a forward observer with the 96th Armored Field Artillery Battalion with 155mm self-propelled howitzers. After his tour he was assigned to an artillery unit at Ft. Bliss, Texas. On January 3, 1953, while returning from Christmas leave he was killed in an automobile accident near Cortez, Colorado. |
