Technical Sergeant Doyle was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of Battery C, 37th Field Artillery Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was seriously wounded by the enemy at a road block during an ambush by Chinese forces in South Korea on May 25, 1951 and died of those wounds the following day. |
