Corporal Martin was a member of the 21st Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Chochiwon, South Korea on July 10, 1950 and died while a prisoner on July 16, 1952 at Camp 3 near Chang-Song, North Korea.
