Ensign Martin, U.S. Naval Reserve, was a member of Fighter Squadron 92, Carrier Air Wing 9 aboard the Aircraft Carrier USS ENTERPRISE (CVAN-65). On April 4, 1967, he was a crewman of a McDonnell Douglas Phantom II Fighter (F-4B) over North Vietnam when his aircraft crashed. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
