Private Charles Dall was born in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia on June 25, 1896. He enlisted in the Australian Army on May 25, 1917 and served as a Private in the 49th Infantry Battalion, Royal Australian Infantry during World War I. He was a passenger on Troop Ship A-7. He developed a case of meningitis and was taken ashore to the Colon Hospital. He died on September 4, 1917 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
