Eric Brighteyes Andrews, Sr. was born in Georgia on May 28, 1896. He enlisted in the United States Army and was promoted to First Sergeant with the 7th Coast Artillery during World War I. After the War he remained in Panama where he worked as a civilian for the U.S. Army. He died on August 2, 1954 and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
