Jerry Genaro De Falco was an American born on March 2, 1916. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps in May 31, 1935 and served as a Private with Company A, 3rd Battalion, Fleet Marine Corps Reserve. He was called to active duty and served as a Platoon Sergeant with Company G, 2nd Battalion, 2nd Marines and fought in Tulagi and Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands during World War II. He was wounded and sent to the U.S. Naval Hospital at St. Albans, New York where he was discharged with a disability on June 27, 1945. He moved to the Canal Zone where he worked as a civilian for the Department of Army. On retirement he lived at Balboa Avenue, Panama City. He died on February 14, 1981 at the Centro Medico Paitilla and was buried at the Corozal American Cemetery.
