Carl J. Esgren was a married American born in 1854. He came to Panama in March 1914 and lived at Ancon, Canal Zone for two months. He was a non-Isthmus Canal Company employee. He died on May 7, 1914 at the Ancon Hospital. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979.
