Horacio Seymour Byrne was born in New York City on August 19, 1862. He moved to Panama where he worked for the Panama Canal Company. He died on June 10, 1943. He was buried at the Mt. Hope Cemetery then reinterred at the Corozal American Cemetery in 1979 next to his wife, Jane F. Byrne.
