Private Adams was a member of Company M, 3rd Battalion, 29th Infantry Regimental Combat Team, 24th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in the southwest section of the Pusan Perimeter near Hadong, South Korea on July 27, 1950. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
