For his leadership and valor, Corporal Aguilar was awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes

Corporal Aguilar was a Heavy Weapons Infantryman with Company M, 3rd Battalion, 35th Infantry Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. He was listed as Missing in Action while fighting the enemy along the Kuryong River near Ipsok, North Korea on November 28, 1950. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His name is permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial. The remains of CPL Aguilar were recovered and then identified in 2014.
