Second Lieutenant Cayemberg was the navigator of a B-26C Invader bomber with the 13th Bomber Squadron, 3rd Bomber Wing based at Kunsan Airfield (K-8), South Korea. On July 29, 1951, on returning from a night intruder mission, the aircraft struck a mountain while trying to land at Suwon Airfield (K-13). His remains were recovered.
