Aviation Electronics Technician Third Class Coleman was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes
Aviation Electronics Technician Third Class Coleman was a member of the 67th Maintenance Squadron, 67th Maintenance and Supply Group. On December 27, 1952, he was a passenger on a transport C-47 (DC-3) owned and operated by the Royal Helena Air Force. As the aircraft departed Chinhae Air Base (K-10) near Haengom-ni, South Korea, it crashed killing all 14 on board.
