Private First Class Demski was a member of Company E, 2nd Battalion, 1st Marines, 1st Marine Division. He was taken prisoner by the Chinese near the Panmunjon Corridor just south of the 38th Parallel on April 10, 1953 and died while a prisoner on June 22, 1953. His remains were not recovered. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
