Sergeant First Class Eubanks was a squad leader from the Second Platoon, Company E, 2nd Battalion, 8th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division. On September 5, 1950 after his unit withdrew from Hill 742 near Tabu-dong, South Korea, he was listed as Missing in Action. He was presumed dead on December 31, 1953. His name is inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
