Notes
Captain Hilgard was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a commanded Company C, 1st Battalion, 5th Infantry Regimental Combat Team. He was Killed in Action while leading his company in an assault near Sobuk San and Chindong-ni, South Korea on August 26, 1950.
