Chief Warrant Officer Hollenbeck was a veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was a member of the 55th Military Police Criminal Investigation Detachment, U.S. Army. On March 15, 1952, he was in a jeep that struck another vehicle in Seoul, South Korea, killing him.
