Sergeant Noehren was awarded the Purple Heart, the Prisoner of War Medal, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
Notes

Sergeant Noehren was a member of Headquarters and Service Company, 2nd Engineer Combat Battalion, 2nd Infantry Division. He was taken Prisoner of War while fighting the enemy near Kunu-ri, North Korea on November 30, 1950 and died while a prisoner on January 22, 1951. At the time his remains were not recovered. Through the work of the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, his remains were accounted for in 2017, and his name remains permanently inscribed on the Courts of the Missing at the Honolulu Memorial.
