Notes
Captain Olson was a decorated veteran of World War II. In Korea, he was the pilot of a F-51D Mustang night fighter with the 39th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron, 35th Fighter-Interceptor Group. On December 19, 1950, while returning from a combat mission, his aircraft crashed into the sea one mile short of the runway at Pusan, Korea.
