Private First Class Padin-Ruiz was a member of Company D, 1st Battalion, 65th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. He was severely injured when a mine exploded and was taken to the 8063rd Mobile Army Surgical Hospital where he died on June 26, 1952.
